Built-in Tracking Function
Built-in AI tracking module, enabling smart subject tracking and gesture control function without the need for an app or external accessories. Before using the AI tracking function, please turn on the AI Power status(AI indicator turns red) through the gimbal touchscreen or pressing the F1 button three times.
Four gesture controls:
"Spread Palm" - Take a picture or start/stop video recording, AI indicator flashes 3 times
"Thumbs Opposite Direction" - Exit smart tracking, AI indicator turns red
"OK Gesture" - Start smart tracking, AI indicator turns green; Stop smart tracking, AI indicator turns red
"Double L-shaped Gesture" - Customize your composition
After you start composing a picture using the double L-shaped gesture, the indicator light will flash green. When you move to the desired position, raise the gesture again to complete the composition and the indicator will turn solid green. This function is typically used when you want to take a shot centered on the person, but also want to introduce the scenery or scene next to it.
How to Control Camera
While connecting the gimbal and your camera with cable (standard accessories for SONY, CANON, NIKON, Panasonic, etc.) or Bluetooth, users can control picture-taking/recording on touch screen and set aperture, shutter, ISO and other camera parameters (see Camera Compatible List for more details).
Auto Tune Motor Power
Auto Tune operation:
Enter the motor power setting through the touchscreen or Feiyu SCORP App, select Auto Tune, and then place the gimbal on the table until the display prompts that calibration is complete. The gimbal will automatically adjust the motor power based on the camera and lens you have installed.
*It's a normal phenomenon that gimbal will vibrate slightly while Auto Tune to weigh the camera. When using a new camera and lens combination, it is recommended to Auto Tune the motor power after installing the camera and turning on the gimbal.

Can the Magic Wheel control the external focus motor for manual lenses?
Yes, the Magic Wheel on the SCORP 2 can control the external SCORP focus motor. To enable this, go to the Knob settings—either on the touchscreen or in the Feiyu SCORP app—and set the knob function to “Focus Motor.”

How do I select an object (not a person) to track with my SCORP 2?
Currently, the SCORP 2 supports AI tracking via gesture control only and is limited to tracking people. It does not support selecting or tracking objects.

Can the Scorp 2 also use an external tracking module?
Since the SCORP 2 has built-in tracking, external tracking module is not compatible with the SCORP 2

Can this be mounted at height and track a person on a horse and started/stopped and set up on an iphone
The tracking module of the SCORP 2 can only be started and stopped by gesture control, and cannot be set up on an iPhone.

Sorry to tell you that SCORP 2 is a DSLR Mirrorless camera gimbal that is NOT compatible with phones.
If you want a gimbal that works with your camera and phone, we would recommend the SCORP Mini 2. It's an all-in-one gimbal compatible with mirrorless cameras, compact cameras, phones and action cameras. However, the SCORP Mini 2 is much smaller and lighter than the SCORP 2, so it cannot support large cameras and lenses. -

Will the smart tracking capability in the gimble prdouct track either objects or groups (as opposed to just a person)?
It is recommended to track only one person or subject at a time. If focused on multiple objects or groups, the gimbal may easily lose tracking.
